I remember a time when I flat out refused to go to Kuningan. It never seemed worth dealing with the insane amount of traffic which is pretty much guaranteed during any given week in Jakarta. But now I'm finding more and more reasons to visit Lotte Shopping Avenue Mall, based in Kuningan. I'm already a fan of a number of restaurants which have opened up at Lotte Shopping Avenue. This evening I added another restaurant to that list. The name of the restaurant if you are wondering, is My Humble House. If you are looking for the wow factor, then yes, there is no doubt that this place will impress you. From the moment you walk through the impressive entrance. Right up until you are seated, in my case with a table overlooking the Jakarta skyline. You are somehow whisked away from the chaotic streets of Jakarta, into an oasis of calm. So i'm more than happy to welcome My Humble House, part of the Singapoean TungLok Group, to the fast growing Jakarta restaurant scene. The TungLok Group already established in Singapore, Japan, China, India have finally landed in our very own Jakarta. I'm beyond excited to tell you about this restaurant. Simply because I believe it encompasses everything a great restaurant should have. First, let me tell you about the ambience. What can I say except that it's simply impossible not to feel 100% relaxed at My Humble House. Just to let you know, it's housed on the 5th floor of Lotte Shopping Avenue, and boasts views over the Jakarta skyline. Unfortunately I was unable to capture how amazing the view is with my IPhone. I think it's definitely time to upgrade to a professional camera! One of the things I miss most about Paris and London, is the excellent service you become accustomed to at fine dining restaurants. So believe me when I say, the service at My Humble House is super professional. I was immediately impressed, the waiters are highly attentive here. It's not easy to find this kind of service in Jakarta, you will not be disappointed with the service.I rarely eat duck in Jakarta but the Deep-fried Crispy Shredded Duck at My Humble House is a MUST order! I was beyond impressed its sooo delicious! Expertly cooked and terribly morish. I would order it again in a heartbeat. They are obviously working with highly professional chefs at this restaurant. This dish was just a delight to eat. I cannot recommend it highly enough, its just perfect. \The amount of times I have eaten tofu dishes in Jakarta is insane. I love a simple tofu dish, but it's not easy to find the perfect texture and balance of flavour. This dish is called Special House Bean Curd. That's not just a statement, it's one of the best tofu dishes I have tried in Jakarta, period! How on earth did they make the texture of this tofu so damn tasty. They must be working on another level of professionalism. I have to give this dish full marks.If you follow my blog, its kind of obvious that I love Chinese cuisine. I have trawled the city to find what I perceive to be some of the best Chinese restaurants. I think My Humble House offers you the kind of experience which you would expect from a Michelin fusion Chinese restaurant in London. The prices are very reasonable for a fine dining restaurant. There isn't really a huge difference in terms of price, between this restaurant and other non fine dining restaurants Jakarta. If you love Chinese cuisine, My Humble House should be on your list of places to check out. I do hope you enjoy it as much as I do. This kind of restaurant makes me happy to be a blogger and share something which I believe to be operating on another level. The ambience is cozy n the food is also yummy.. recomended to try.. the staffs also nice n willing to help if u need one.. the pork n duck is worth to try..

Cozy, yummy, and they also provide private room a traditional chinese restaurant have. What else can you ask for... Oh! and they serve wine too. Went here with a bunch of colleague from the office and its definitely worth it. I personally like their tube juice, its so fresh you want more.

A fine-dining Chinese restaurant. A new Breed from Tung Lok Group. They tried hard to bring up a fine Chinese Restaurant to the next level. as recommended by the waiter, tried the fish maw with fungus soup, abalone mixed with seafoods claypot, ginger & spring onion leafs lobster, cheese lobster, steam garoupa, broccoli scalop. Everything taste superb!.. having dinner here, escpecially with special people will definitely make your evening pleasant.

Chinese food fine dining ini cukup enak, recommendednya daging babi panggang. Kulitnya crispy, dagingnya moist dan agak juicy. Saran: tolong hilangkan shark fin dari menu. It's getting endangered. #saveshark
