    A Medanese noodle from Muara Karang that opens their branch at Kelapa Gading. They serve noodle, kwetiaw, beehon, ci cong fan. Here are what we tried :Ci Cong Fan (IDR 15.000)One of Medanese typical food which has similar texture as kwetiaw, but this one is thinner and wider. It's made of rice flour then steamed and filled with pork cutlet, sprinkled with sesame and fried onions, served with soy sauce. The amount of soy sauce is up to you. I prefer a little bit of it.Ci Cong Fan Goreng (IDR 32.000)Ci cong fan served in Medanese typical fried dish with a lot of pork chasiu, lapciong (pork sausage), shrimp, fried egg, bean sprouts, bean, and fried onions. Mie Hongkong (IDR 27.000)Super thin noodle served with pork chasiu cutlet, pork rind, chicken, spring onions, and fried onions. Overall, it tastes quite good.

    I was told that Mie Akong in Muara Karang was pretty good and I opted to try it at this branch. Their specialty is the hong kong style noodle, but I personally would say the bomb is their Fried Cong Fan. It was cooked like Char Kway Teow but they used the Cong Fan Wrap instead. A very unique dish, never find it elsewhere but the taste was pretty AWESOME! I would have thought it was kway teow. Toppings were very generous, huge shrimps, and used duck egg (the secret to any perfect char kway teow). The Hong Kong noodle was quite average for me. I would say the taste was just like usual Bakmi and the noodle texture was not fine enough. Would be great if it’s done like the actual Hongkong Noodle.

    Ambience : 2.5/5Food : 4/5Service : 3/5 Will Return : YesIf you miss the taste of an OG Ci Cong Fan, you should come to Mie Akong. My fave would be the Ci Cong Fan! Rasanya ga kalah enak sama yang di Muara Karang. Very recommended 👌🏼

    Walaupun namanya mie hongkong, bakmi andalan mie Akong ini sangat mirip dengan bakmi medan cong sim. Tekstur bakminya tipis, toppingnya ada ayam rebus, babi merah, babi garing, dan pangsit rebus. Plus topping bawang merah goreng yang cukup banyak; yang menjadi ciri khas bakmi jenis ini. Secara keseluruhan bakmi ini rasanya enak. Gurihnya pas, tingkat kematangan bakminya juga baik.Namun ketika kunjungan kami di siang hari, pelayanannya dirasa cukup lama, padahal kondisi rumah makan sedang sepi. Mungkin itu saja yang perlu ditingkatkan. Harga bisa dibilang sedikit di atas standard untuk hidangan bakmi sejenis.
